Barack Obama has offered James Uorlik for U.S. Ambassador to Bulgaria

The U.S. president has lodged a proposal in the Senate for appointment of James Uorlik new U.S. ambassador to Bulgaria, cited by Interfax news agency, citing the press service of the White House.

At the beginning of the current decade Uorlik served as Consul General of the United States in Moscow, then was advisor to the U.S. ambassador to Iraq Paul Bremer. Since April 2006 he was Deputy Assistant Secretary of State on international organizations.
Barack Obama suggested earlier Uorlik wife of James – Mary Uorlik for U.S. Ambassador to Serbia. Between 2001 and 2004 she was Minister-Counselor for Economic Affairs at the U.S. embassy in Moscow. During the period 2007-2008 Mary Uorlik occupied positions Head of Russia in the State Department, special assistant to the president and senior director for Russia at the National Security Council of the United States. By May this year she has been acting Deputy Defense Minister on Russia.
