Diankov still liked the report to the President

Bulgaria’s exit from the crisis depends on most of the macroeconomic and fiscal policies of the government, said Finance Minister Simeon Diankov.Bulgaria’s exit from the crisis depends on most of the macroeconomic and fiscal policies of the government, said Finance Minister Simeon Diankov. He participated in the discussion on the presentation of the fourth annual economic report for the state chapter entitled „The global financial and economic crisis and Bulgaria. The Minister said that he likes a report prepared for President. I like the document because it identifies some things that should be taken after the country’s exit from the crisis, said Diankov. According to him in a vision report for Bulgaria, not only for this moment, but how should the country look like after 10 or 20 years, and some basic guidelines for this development. I like that in this report it is noted that the exit of Bulgaria from the crisis depends on most of the macroeconomic and fiscal policies of the government, the minister said. He cites the key priorities identified in the document – achieving a balanced budget and social protection of the unemployed. This is a task at least for the crisis, said Diankov. He noted that this view is shared by him and the government. Fiscal policy should be directed to a balanced budget, the main aim is to preserve the strength of the Bulgarian Lev. Unlike other countries in Europe and in the world who can afford a few years to enter into large deficits, Bulgaria can not afford it because it is in a condition of a currency board, the minister noted. Diankov said that among other positive aspects of maintaining a balanced budget is a fall in external financial resources. This happens when external analysts saw that the new Bulgarian government has decided to take all measures to achieve a balanced budget, the minister added. The second priority, which also agree, is to protect the incomes of the unemployed, the minister said. Diankov added that it is necessary to take such anti-crisis measures that fewer people remain unemployed.
