Eksprezident condemned to death for corruption

Former president of the Chinese state oil company Sinopek, Chan Tunhay was conditionally sentenced to death for corruption and abuse of official position saobshtshiha from ITAR-TASS and DPA
Peking Court recognized Tunhay guilty on charges that from 1999 until his arrest in 2007 had received bribes of nearly 30 million dollars. Deprived the court the former president of Sinopek „of all political rights and confiscated his personal property.
Tunhay received suspended death sentence with a two-year postponement of the implementation, because all the bribes and returned acknowledged their crimes specified legal sources. In China, the conventional death sentences are usually replaced by life imprisonment after two years if convicted there is good behavior.
