February Euro Zone Inflation Falls

Heating oil cost more, along with fuel for transport, but lower prices for gas and food limited inflation in the euro zone in February. The price of clothing also drifted lower.
The European Union’s statistics office confirmed its earlier estimate that year-on-year consumer prices in the 16 countries using the euro rose 0.9 percent. That followed a one percent increase in January.
Alcohol, tobacco and transport were the areas that saw the biggest prices rises from February last year.
