Germany’s April Exports Jump

Germany’s trade surplus jumped much more than expected in March as exports increased at their fastest monthly pace since 1992.
Month-on-month exports were up by 10.7 percent, following on from a 5.1 percent rise in February.
Imports were 11 percent higher from February.
The weaker euro helped and the figures were a further indication of how fast Europe’s largest economy is recovering.
