Greek farmers again blocked the central highway Thessaloniki – Athens

Closure of the Athens-Salonika highway near a road junction Themba warning of protests by farmers to the government. They want measures in support of the agricultural sector, raising the purchasing price of milk and meat, and a change in the overall strategy for development of animal husbandry in Greece. Program of the protests have not yet been announced.

Provided agreement is reached with the government, the protests will be revoked, announced by the Union of farmers. In their statement was also reported that protests could turn into a nationwide blockade of roads and central points.
