Iceland will pay benefits for foreign clients of Landsbanki

Iceland’s parliament approved the payment of benefits to foreign customers, who have lost their savings in the online banking unit of Landsbanki – Icesave. For this purpose were set aside $ 5 billion, Air Force forward. Benefits will be paid over the next 15 years.

Problems with banking unit came after the government of Iceland has decided on the closure of Icesave, because of the crisis in the parent bank Landsbanki.
