In Greece, a complete ecological disaster

Fourth day the fire continued around Athens. „The environmental catastrophe is complete, comment on current media issues. Greece received helicopters and aircraft from the European Union.
New fire forces have engaged today in putting out the fire around Athens. At night, strong winds intensify further outbreaks. In many places of the fire front, which is longer than 40 kilometers, putting out is only possible by air, announced by the Ministry of Interior.
Police and units of the army evacuated the residents of many threatened areas and no casualties. Experts agree that the cause of the fire was arson.
Governor of Attiki reproached the Government that the fire was underestimated and the response is overdue. In the same vein are the comments in the media.
Today, Prime Minister Karamanlis again stressed that the priority is to protect people’s lives. There will be two more aircraft today in Russia to help Greece.
