More than 40% of companies to downsize staff
Nearly every second company in Bulgaria expects a drop in sales and 41% plan staff reduction in 2010, a survey conducted by the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in early September shows. However, 54% of company managers say they will keep their staff and 5.5% even plan opening new jobs. A sales rise is foreseen by 12.7% of the respondents.
