NSI recorded deflation of 0.4%

The index of consumer prices in June 2009 to May 2009 was 99.6%, ie monthly inflation was minus 0.4 percent. Inflation since the beginning of the year (June 2009 to December 2008) was 0.6 percent and annual inflation in June 2009 to June 2008 was 3.7 percent.
Inflation for the period January – June 2009 over the same period last year was 5.1 percent.
In June 2009 have reduced the price of flour – by 1.2%, meat of bovine animals – by 1 percent, pork – by 0.2% and cheese – by 0.5%.
During the month have increased the price of pasta – with 0.4 percent, pastries – by 0.6 percent, citrus fruits and southern – with 3.3%, sugar and chocolate products – by 0.4%.
During the month increased the prices of medical and dental services by 0.5% and 0.1%, and medicines and other pharmaceutical products 3.3%.
