Bulgaria signed today Nabucco *

Today Minister Sergey Stanishev willin Ankara to sign intergovernmental agreement on pipeline Nabucco, which the government information service.
The Prime Minister will sign the intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the transportation of natural gas in the system gazotransportna Nabucco, which is the basis for the project.
The official ceremony will be in the Turkish capital Ankara and its representatives will attend the parties involved in the project.
Gas pipeline Nabucco, 3300 kilometers in length, should contact the Central Markets and in Southeastern Europe with the producer of the Black Sea-Caspian region and Central Asia.
Design capacity of the pipeline is 25-31 billion cubic meters gas per year and is expected to be completed in 2012
Bulgaria has consistently and actively support the project for construction of pipeline Nabucco, which is a priority for the European Union.
During the Special Forum in Budapest on 27 January Minister Sergey Stanishev expressed clear political support for implementation of Nabuko in the shortest possible time.
With entry into service of Nabucco will be achieved several important goals: the diversification of sources of supply of natural gas, creating a completely new gas transport corridor, increasing the degree of energy security of the EU and SEE, stimulating competition and the process of the liberalization of European gas markets.
At its meeting of July 9 Cabinet determine the segment of pipeline Nabucco, which will be built in Bulgaria for the establishment of national importance.
As led by Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev delegation included:

– Executive Director of the Bulgarian Energy Holding Galina Tosheva,
– Executive Director of Bulgargas Dimitar Gogov,
– Foreign policy adviser to Prime Minister Bojan hammers,
– Advisor to the Prime Minister’s European Affairs Maria pint,
– The national project coordinator Peter Popchev.
During his absence the Prime Minister will be replaced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Valchev.
