European Car Sales Up

European car sales rose for a third straight month in August.
New industry figures show they were up by three percent.
But for the first eight months of the year the number of vehicles sold is still down just over eight percent from 2008.
And the carmakers’ trade association said the rally is being fuelled by government scrappage schemes which could mean a slump in sales once they end.
