„Nissan“ starts serial production of elektromobil

Japanese automotive company Nissan plans to begin mass production of electric cars by the end of next year. „Nissan will launch a major campaign for the sale of cars from the new series in 2012, said CEO of the company Carlos Gosn. The first electric car series will be presented in August 2010 at the opening of the new company headquarters in the city of Yokohama. Initially, „Nissan plans to produce 50 000 vehicles at its plant in Opama – south of Tokyo. Prototype of the Nissan Nuvu and-viykal (Nissan Nuvu E-vehicle) with a length of only three meters was shown last year to the Paris motor show. According to the company its maximum speed is 120 km / h and with a charging Li-ion battery car can pass 120 kilometers.
