Russian I stand at the head of UNESCO, the organization will receive a fast 20 million dollars

Electoral campaign for the determination of the new Director General of the United Nations on issues of education, science and kulurata (UNESCO) has reached its final phase, once Russia joined the fight.

Moscow is ready in case of victory of the Organization to provide 20 million dollars, reported in the newspaper Kommersant.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Alexander Yakovenko is considered a favorite in the fight for the post.

Russian representative has not led either UNESCO or other agencies in the UN system. Some observers liken the fight for leading positions in the campaign by UNESCO to conduct the winter Olympics in Sochi in 2014.
