Siemens topped rankings of Dow Jones to ethical business practices

Siemens AG topped the prestigious Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI), having won first place in the sector „kompaniii diversified, which includes ITT, General Electric and Toshiba. Siemens consolidate and extend their leading positions in the previous year in both categories evaluated „Ethical business practices“ and „Risk Management“, this year received the maximum possible number of points in each category. The company has climbed much higher in the rankings in the categories „Environment and Society.
For the tenth consecutive year Siemens was awarded by analysts of Dow Jones on its activities in the field of environmental protection. The company’s overall results this year are the best that it has achieved so far. Changes in the Dow Jones index of environmental activity (DJSI) will enter into force on September 21, 2009
In addition to economic and social aspects, Siemens directs its efforts mainly to the expansion of its portfolio and ekolochichno to reducing carbon emissions from various industries – a commitment which binds the company and its suppliers.

The index of the Dow Jones DJSI is the most important criterion for eco-business and includes the first 250 of a total of 2500 largest companies by global index Dow Jones.
