Small businesses on the island received large support from banks

Lending to UK small businesses grew by 391 million pounds (646 million) in June, showing that banks provide additional support to companies in the recession, said the British Banking Association (BBA), transmit Reuters.

„These figures provide more evidence for support of small business banks,“ said David Duks director of the statistical department of the BBA.

„Structural loans grew by 366 million pounds in June, while deposits and number of new business relationships continue to grow,“ said Duks. Data for June show a rise compared to May, when the loans have increased by 153 million pounds.
