Small livestock farms that produce milk and milk products will be able to sell their produce locally, but in strict compliance with health standards and quality requirements, said Deputy Minister of Agriculture Tsvetan Dimitrov.
Direct sales, according to Tzvetan Dimitrov will „unstopped the sector go bankrupt and will prevent many livestock farms. Before that, however, will be prepared emergency legislation on the regulation of direct sales of milk.
Among the top priorities Dimitrov is the creation of mechanisms to ensure safety and quality of food for Bulgarian users. Building structures of the State Agency for Food Safety is the main instrument to achieve this goal, the deputy minister pointed Dimitrov.
Important issue ignored for years, is hidromelioratsiite policy.
Deputy Minister emphasized that, as the specific needs of agricultural production in the country and to the general shortage of water resources in the world, care for the balance in the water sector comes to the fore today.
Last but not least, the new deputy minister pointed out and provision of state aid to farmers, provided the European payments. He pointed out that they are related to the long process of preparation of documents and accreditation (between 3 to 6 months), requiring timely response by the state in ordering them to the European Commission.
Dimitrov pointed out that has been notified to the Commission a state aid to support breeding associations and the new management intends to prepare an emergency designation for 10 more state aid so as to be able to implement them within the beginning of next year.
Now consider the financial ability to pay subsidies for raw milk in April and May this year in connection with documents submitted by farmers, which has not reached the ability to pay.
