Taiwanese companies want to invest in BG

Leading Taiwanese companies in the field of renewable technologies and IT took part in the first Business Forum Sofia-Taipei, held in the country. It was organized by the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry jointly with the China Association for International Economic Cooperation. For now serious about investment in our country by a Taiwanese company that wants to build a plant to manufacture steel pipes. Investments for the construction of the plant is 1.5 million EUR. Company representatives have already visited Ruse, Varna and Burgas to look at the feasibility of the project. However, the company looks to Bulgaria and neighboring countries for investment. Other Taiwanese companies that have business interest in the forum have more commercial partnerships with our companies.

The main purpose of the forum is laying the foundations of good trade relations between Bulgaria and Taiwan. Said Ching-Yung Lo, director of economic department of the Taipei Representation in Greece and was elected president of the Business Forum.
