Triple raise the criteria for a large taxpayer

Criteria for registration of large taxpayers will be increased three times, reported by the National Revenue Agency.

The requirement for a minimum turnover for large taxpayers will increase from 10 million to 30 million paid taxes and social security contributions for the year should be above 10 million at the current 2.5 million leva and introduced two new criteria – more than 150 employees and nearly 25 million refunds (mainly VAT). At the same time introduce quantitative criteria for belonging to the group of average taxpayers. They are at least 15 million turnover, 5 million paid taxes, 70 employees and about 10 million back taxes. Currently, to register as average taxpayers, companies should simply be of good repute.

Company that covers at least two of these criteria will fall within the group, explained by the NRA. As a result of changing the criteria in the category Large taxpayers and insurers are expected to fall in 1500 companies now registered 670. For average taxpayers are expected to increase their number between 5000 and 6000. There are 2500 companies registered average taxpayers. The aim of the new criteria is large and medium-sized companies in Bulgaria to generate between 70 and 90% of revenues in the Treasury, explained by the NRA. New criteria are to be approved by the finance ministry and the government.

Businesses and citizens will now be able to give estimates of the NRA. Each client of the Revenue Agency has the opportunity to evaluate the tax by filling out an anonymous questionnaire, posted on the agency’s website (www.nap.bg). In the questionnaire uploaded businesses and citizens can make comments about services, procedures, staffing, access to tax and insurance information and impressions from contact with the Revenue Agency.
From the NRA indicated that the inquiry will be sent by email to all over 10 thousand clients of the agency who have subscribed to the news on the website. The views of our clients is important. That is why the overall results will be used in planning the activities of the Agency, as well as in developing services and working procedures, said the inauguration of the portal, Executive Director of NRA Krassimir Stefanov.
