About nine million Americans received unemployment

About 1.5 million Americans are threatened by the exhaustion of its limit for receiving unemployment benefits. The reason is that they are unemployed too long, reports New York Times.
The U.S. Congress has adopted an amendment to extend the time limits for assistance in many states in 79 weeks instead of the current 46 weeks. However, a large part of the long-term unemployed have already exhausted their limits on the receipt of state aid.
It is expected that the number of Americans with similar problems will grow sharply in the coming weeks and by September reaches 500 thousand. Estimates cited by the paper indicates that by the end of the year to support the program could be 1.5 million Americans.
Currently receiving unemployment benefits for 9 million U.S. citizens, as ongoing recession because many of them can not find a new job.
