Atomstroyexport estimate of NPP Belene 6 billion

The cost of the construction of Belene NPP will not exceed 6 billion, said Vice President Atomstroyexport Gennady Tepkyan, BNR.

According to him, the allegations in the Bulgarian media landscape value of nuclear power plants by 10 billion euros are ridiculous.
He added that construction is already delayed by 15 months if frozen for two years, this would lead to increased costs of more than 300 million.
Vice President Atomstroiexport added that negotiations are still pending and standing open question of the formula by which to be determined more expensive equipment and construction of the plant.

If the Bulgarian government decided to abandon the construction of a second nuclear, the company will claim a penalty without the right to determine their size.
