Boeing first arrived for overhaul in Bulgaria

In Bulgaria are already taking place basic services of the most popular airliner in the world – Boeing V737. The first machine of this type, which will be carried out major repairs, was officially welcomed into avioremontnoto facility of Lufthansa Technik Sofia Ltd., razpolozheno at Sofia Airport. With the official opening of avioremontnoto facility in October 2008 Lufthansa Technik Sofia Ltd. for the first time in Bulgaria began repair of aircraft from Airbus A320 family. In less than a year until the company has made various repairs and service activities of over 20 aircraft of various airlines such as Lufthansa, Ural Airlines, Aeroflot, Bulgaria Air, Wizz Air, Anadolu Jet and others.
From today, the company began to perform basic maintenance on Boeing V737 Classic. The first aircraft of this type is a Boeing 737-300 of British airline bmibaby.
In the high-tech hangar with an area of 12 500 square meters is carried out many services – from basic services to the most serious overhauls, D-Check, structural repairs and modifications. The company also offers other services to airlines that fly to Sofia, as called. „Service call“ state of Lufthansa Technik Sofia.
The Company employs over 350 highly qualified Bulgarian specialists who are trained in different centers of Lufthansa Technik in Europe.

To date, the Lufthansa Technik AG has five facilities for aircraft maintenance base – Schoenefeld Maintenance Centre, Berlin; Lufthansa Technik Malta; Shannon Aerospace; Lufthansa Technik Budapest and Lufthansa Technik Sofia.
