Eight policemen killed in bank robbery in Baghdad,

Eight police officers were killed in bank robbery in the center of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, AFP reported.

So far unknown number were fired at the armed branch of the state „Rephidim Bank in the commercial district of Karada after midnight.

They have managed to open the bank vault and steal the money inside, killed eight police officers.

The bodies of five of the guards were found in one room of the bank and the remaining three were found in another room.

The incident happened 2 days after a failed armed robbery is a currency exchange bureau in Baghdad on Sunday in which four workers died and four other people were wounded.
