GB stores decreased 50 percent nylon bags

Supermarkets in the UK give up nearly half of plastic bags used in them, after launching a campaign to reduce environmentally harmful waste delivered AFP. Sellers received 372 million plastic bags in seven major supermarkets in May this year by 718 million received for the same period in 2006 figures show that supermarkets now use 346 million fewer plastic bags in 2006, which is decreased by 48%. Decades are needed to complete decomposition of plastic bags. Governments, retailers and consumers worldwide are under pressure to reduce the number of plastic bags.
