Less electricity is produced in Bulgaria in April

Production of solid fuels and electricity fell in April this year as compared to March and April compared to last year, data show the national statistics on production and supply of energy resources in the fourth month of the year.

Production of solid fuels in April 2009 to March 2009 decreased by 19% to 1850 thousand tonnes of electricity – by 23.6% to 2973 GVtch of diesel fuel – by 1.5 percent to 198 thousand tons.

Production of propane-butane and unleaded petrol increased by 6.7% to 16 thousand tons and 4.4 percent to 141 thousand tons. In April 2009 there is no production of natural gas.

In April 2009 to April 2008 production of propane, butane and diesel fuel increased by 23.1 percent and 4.8 percent, and production of solid fuels, unleaded petrol, electricity and gas decreased by 5.1%, 2.1%, 16.5% and 100%.

Supplies of propane-butane and unleaded gasoline in April 2009 to March 2009 increased by 21.4% to 34 thousand tons and 30.9% to 72 thousand tons. Deliveries of solid fuels and natural gas decreased by 21% to 2022 thousand tonnes and 35.3% to 185 mln.stand. kub.metra as well as diesel and electricity – by 2.5 percent to 155 thousand tonnes and 22.2 percent by 2472 GVtch.

In April 2009 to April 2008 the supply of propane-butane increased by 21.4%. Deliveries of solid fuels, unleaded petrol and diesel decreased by 9.4%, 29.4% and 12.4%, and gas and electricity – by 32.5% and 6.6%.
