Oil prices rose above $ 74 a barrel

Oil prices rose above $ 74 a barrel today in Asian electronic trading on the background of the hopes for economic recovery. This is the highest value of black gold since the beginning of the year.

In morning Asian electronic trading session on the New York Stock Exchange today, the price of U.S. light crude for October delivery increased 25 cents to 74.14 dollars per barrel. At the end of the session on Friday the same contracts rose by 98 cents to 73.89 dollars per barrel. Previously during the session, which was the first day of the October futures trading, U.S. light sweet crude climbed to 74.72 dollars a barrel – the highest value of 20 October.
London’s Brent North Sea today, delivery in October increased its price by 44 cents to 74.63 dollars per barrel.
