Strengthen sales of assets in Europe

Despite significant decreases volume of transactions in commercial properties in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) market is a significant structural change. The share of local vendors in the first six months of the year has decreased compared to the same period in 2008 and 2007, shows a report of the consulting company CBRE.

This is due to the fact that more foreign property owners decide to sell its assets in the region, as representatives of the senior management of these companies based in Western Europe do not believe in the potential for growth in Eastern Europe in the short term is says the report.

In contrast, local owners have greater confidence in the markets in the region and the opportunities they offer, so are less likely to sell.

In addition, the market made the sale less projects (mainly those built by local entrepreneurs), which changes the structure and market sellers.

Bulgaria also has more examples of foreign companies that plan to sell part of its assets in the country. Most of them aim to service debt or to strengthen its liquidity position.
