United States privatize war

„Corporate Wars“ editorial was titled the „Financial Times“ for the use of private security firms in war.

Private security company Blackwater, was banned from working in Iraq. Five of its officials are on trial for the murder of 14 Iraqis in 2007, recently appeared with allegations that the company has helped the CIA in the assassination of the program leaders of al-Qaida. Such inconsistencies have led to a change of brand – Blackwater already named Xe, but the dependence on private security companies left. The company maintained its contracts worth 400 million dollars with the U.S. State Department, says the publication, quoted by BGNES.
This is a symptom that the privatization of war has come too far. Private involvement in hostilities is as old as war itself. In the area of supply, private companies are the norm. But in the conduct of hostilities, the tendency was to strengthen the control of states and their official military forces. Parallel, but no chance of keeping the laws of war were codified and partially, but increasingly are being applied.

If the use of private security guards was primarily an attempt to control costs, it would not happen. Its attractiveness lies in the ability to deny and avoid the restrictions.
Soldiers are subject to military laws of their country and rules for conducting military operations. Private security guards used gaps in the law, sometimes deliberately increased.
