With 2.634 billion dollars of our immigrants are supported relatives in Bulgaria

Bulgarian emigrants have sent us at 2.634 billion dollars last year. For comparison, in 2007 the proceeds of the living and working abroad are our fellow citizens in the amount of 2.132 billion dollars. This means that only one years sent us immigrants have increased by 23 percent, showed preliminary data from a report by the World Bank. Sent by our compatriots abroad amount in 2008 represents 5.4 percent of gross domestic product of our country. Over the past eight years the proceeds of our country by living and working abroad Bulgarians have increased by 2.576 billion dollars. In 2000 immigrants are sent 58 million dollars. The greatest jump in the indicator was recorded in 2002 Proceeds from our immigrants this year have increased by 1.106 billion dollars from 71 million in 2001 to 1.177 billion dollars in 2002 this year the organization expected of migrants sent money to their home developing countries to reach 304 billion dollars. The amount is 24 billion dollars less than the preliminary result for 2008
