Gunman opens fire at Pecs university in Hungary
A student has opened fire on classmates at a university in southern Hungary, killing one person and wounding three others, university officials say.
The 23-year-old pharmacology student is reported to have started shooting during a class in the biophysics research institute at Pecs University.
Another student, a teacher and a cleaner were injured, a university spokesman said.
Police have arrested a man in connection with the shooting.
They have not provided further details but are expected to hold a news conference shortly, national news agency MTI reported.
Eyewitnesses say the scene of the shooting has been closed off.
