Deflation in Switzerland remained at a level of 1%

Prices of consumer goods in Switzerland are 1% lower in June than the same month last year. Annual deflation amounted to 1 percent in May, as market analysts expected it to strengthen to 1.1 percent in June.
Data of the Federal Statistical Office in Switzerland showed that the annual growth of consumer prices amounted to 2.9 percent in June 2008
The index of consumer prices rose by 0.2 percent on a monthly basis, which is not justified forecasts zero monthly growth. The increase comes mainly from the appreciation of the petroleum products, food, alcoholic drinks and tobacco products. At the same time, prices of clothing decreased by 4.4 percent on a monthly basis.
The data do not have a significant impact on currency trading. At 11:05 pm Bulgarian time one U.S. dollar is exchanged to 1.0844 Swiss francs. For the second quarter with free poskapva 4.2% versus the dollar and the beginning of the year become cheaper by 1.3%.
