Economist ordered Meglena Kuneva Top 10 best commissioners

Commenting on the term occurs in the current composition of the 27-nation European Commission magazine „Economist“ defines the ten best commissioners, including the Bulgarian Meglena Kuneva, Commissioner for Consumer Protection.
One of ten according to the „Economist“ is the Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs Joaquin Almunia. The Spaniard was entrusted with a difficult task: to ensure the pact for „stability and growth,“ which member countries neglected even before the economic crisis, commented The Economist. While last year’s panic grew, Almunia stay calm, serious and hard. He lent support to destitute European countries and the large States warned about the consequences of hasty decisions.
Some commissioners receive points that tells the truth in public, writes The Economist. Estonian Siim Kallas, Commissioner for Administration, announced the fat sums granted by the Commission of think tanks and non-governmental „organizations in Brussels.
Maltese Commissioner for Fisheries and Maritime Affairs Joe Borg determine the common fisheries policy as an accident. When the European chorus of voices censure vote against hedge funds and private equity funds, the Irish Commissioner Charlie McCreevy, the Internal Market, said they did not cause the credit collapse and will be useful after the crisis.
Some commissioners completed its mandate with more authority, says The Economist. When Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs took over in 2004 the sector was a key. After the gas war between Russia and Ukraine, however, energy has become a priority.
After Bulgaria joined the EU in 2007 became Commissioner Meglena Kuneva about consumer protection and lead industry, which was not very promising, says the British magazine. She decided to promote the rights of consumers as a way of reconciling the Europeans with competition and free markets. Kuneva, however, attract public attention to the subtle range of targets, such as banks and airlines misleading sites.
In the group of not-so-performing commissioners Economist puts Franco Frattini, responsible for Justice, which is too busy with the policies of his native Italy. In 2008 he became foreign minister of the country, but if the Lisbon Treaty is ratified, Frattini would like to return as the new High Representative for foreign policy.
Guenter Verheugen will go down in history as a shining enlargement commissioner from 1999 to 2004 Since then, however, he deals with his complicated personal life, but his current post of commissioner for the industry it seems boring – it was decided to catch a sudoku committee meetings.
Viviane Reding, Commissioner for Information Society in Luxembourg, has gained fame with that reduce the cost of roaming, but only time will tell whether this was a good idea, says The Economist.
Commissioner for External Relations Benita Ferrero-Waldner is strong, say representatives, but lacks the influence and confidence. Among other disappointments are Swedish Margot Wallstrom, Vladimir Spidla and slipper Hungarian Laszlo Kovacs.
