Twenty percent fewer exhibitors of „Made in Bulgaria in 2009

From 13 November at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia has started become a traditional exhibition of Bulgarian goods „Made in Bulgaria“.

In the 15th edition of the exhibition will be attended by over 300 companies in light industry. The aim of the exhibition is to support the Bulgarian producers, giving them an opportunity within one week to submit their production.
„For a company to survive, especially in times of crisis, must give signals that exist. And what better opportunity for such exposure in the center of the capital, „said President of BCCI, one of the organizers, Tzvetan Simeonov. Around 27% of the companies are from the exhibition sector and knitted underwear, clothing companies represent one-third and 14 percent of companies are leather. Present manufacturers are still sporting goods, jewelry, cosmetics and perfumery. According Yordanka Chavdarova – Manager of Business Center Bulgaria, co-organizer of the forum, the economic crisis affect this year’s participation of companies in two directions – Companies are presented with 20% less than last year and if the exhibition in 2008 in a company employs two or three stand in this year’s participants are limited to one stand.
„In times of crisis, when all members are stressed, as noted, and tend more toward saving than to shopping, we will try to create conditions for companies to present their latest products. At the same time, buyers can in the spacious rooms of the NPC can buy gifts for Christmas and New Year. The exhibition is an opportunity to negotiate stores entire collections for next year. But traders to become acquainted with the last production of our companies. That’s why the statements are – to increase the turnover of firms. When they have fresh money, they can reinvest them into materials to increase wages, if you will, and to pay their taxes. Here, the exhibition come most enterprising, most stable companies, which really has seen the light in the tunnel. Hopefully the next half year to stir things and improve. “
There is almost no industry in the economy, which is not affected by the crisis, said Yordanka Chavdarova. Study of the consulting company „BusinessForSale.BG“ indicates that two thirds of companies actively working in Bulgaria face significant difficulties in their activities, as well as serious violations in the balance of financial flows. The effects of the crisis is expressed mainly in decreased activity among buyers, reduced inflows of foreign investment, inter-company indebtedness, in the opinion of major employers’ organizations in Bulgaria is equal to billions of euro. According to the study of „BusinessForSale.BG“ Bulgarian firms react differently in a crisis, making the impression that most serious players in each sector to act appropriately and make a real assessment that the moment does not offer opportunities for high profits. So rather their strategy is to maintain the business and to minimize losses.
As a reaction to the crisis and to attract more buyers during the exhibition „Made in Bulgaria“ companies significantly reduce the prices of their goods, there will be promotional offers and attractive payment terms. According Yordanka Chavdarova Bulgarian companies despite the crisis had not refused to introduce new products, although with reduced funding. Study consumer demand create new models to seek new channels for distribution of production in anticipation of better times.
